As many of you have probably noticed, I haven’t updated this site in quite some time. At first, parenthood got in the way, but I continue to gain a handle on that, or so I like to think. My time is better managed and my love for the Mets remains, but it’s hard to only talk about the Mets when there are literally hundreds of sites professionally devoted to the topic, and where people are paid to get the information out as soon as possible, while all competing with the instant and always on, Twitter. Then, a few months ago, I received an email informing me that MLB and WordPress parted ways and it left me confused on how and if to move forward with MetsinAround.com. But, that just reinvigorated me while opening a new door, where I don’t have to be tied to just Mets posts and can bring in more of me. I look at this as an opportunity to post about my likes, dislikes and other things that keep me going in life.

So from this point on, I have decided to keep MetsinAround.com alive, but I will broaden my topics to include my love for tech, video games and being a father, and of course frequent thoughts on my Mets. While I may lose some followers who only came aboard for the Mets banter, stick around and give the new format a shot. Hopefully you won’t be disappointed!

Until next time…
