Ed Coleman just joined the Boomer and Carton show on WFAN to give an update on Matt Harvey. As per Coleman, Harvey had blood clots in his bladder which a procedure was done for and have now cleared up. He will need to be monitored and his opening day start is still in jeopardy.

This could explain Harvey’s struggles his last two spring outings and hopefully whatever was done fixes this for the long term and he, nor we, will have to hear of this again throughout the season.

Harvey has since chimed in on his situation. He proclaims he is now fine, will throw some innings tomorrow in St. Lucie and is on track to toe the rubber come Sunday night in Kansas City.
