David Wright, as has been attempted and reported over the last few weeks, has finally resumed baseball activities in Port St. Lucie, Florida today. He has been out with a hamstring issue, which turned into a back issue and after attempting to be cleared last Monday, received a week of treatment up until his clearance today. Due to his now extended absence, he will certainly need at least a week in minor league games to get back on track and should hopefully (barring another setback) rejoin the team in the first week of June.
Travis d’Arnaud, who was cleared to resume baseball activities last week (sans swinging a bat) has been cleared to swing as of today. He has been out with a broken finger, sustained in an at-bat in mid-April. Terry Collins says that Travis will be back once he can play a full 9 inning game, so hopefully we see him back in the orange and blue before the end of the month.
