Juan Lagares is sitting out tonight’s game due to a pulled muscle under his right armpit that he suffered last week in New York on a diving play. After an MRI, it was revealed it is a minor strain and there is no structural damage, PHEW! On the play, where he nearly collided with Michael Cuddyer, Lagares can be clearly seen displaying discomfort after collecting himself. It was originally announced that he just had the wind knocked out of him, which could have been possible, but wouldn’t lead to a player stretching and grimacing after getting back on his feet.
